Mom’s Graduation June 3, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — kristialgreer @ 5:25 am

My two oldest girls, Makenzie and Maddie, had there 1st dance recital on Saturday, May 25th.   I feel I graduated as a mom!  I went from the life of having babies to the life of being busy mom.  You know, the life where you are always running this child to that practice and the other one somewhere else.  Honestly, secretly I couldn’t wait to get to this stage.  I love getting to see them take on something and succeed at it, and getting to be involved all the way.  ( If you want to see the pics from there recital click here).

Dance is over and we are on to Swim Team, and soccer, and whatever else they want to do.  This is my life, and I LOVE IT!!!!

Spring Cleaning March 26, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — kristialgreer @ 2:55 am

Every year at the same time I get the spring cleaning bug. I have this desire for my whole house to feel clean and organized. I wish my home felt that way all year long.

A long time ago, I found this book called Sink Reflections. It is about organizing your home and your time. The lady who wrote the book is called Fly Lady. When I am putting in to practice what I learned in this book, my home works like a ticking clock. I love it!!! So if you need help getting organized check out this ladies website and book.

Happy Spring Cleaning!!!!

Easter Sunday!!!! March 24, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — kristialgreer @ 2:27 pm

So here I am still laying in bed after a long and crazy Easter weekend. This weekend was our churches Tenth year celebration, and we rented out a beautiful theater downtown Mobile, so that we could fit the people from all four of our weekend services in one building.

Our weekend began on Friday night with our Agape service. Agape, is a community wide worship event sponsored by our church. It was AWESOME ! The service felt larger than life, and the energy that came from having so many people worshiping in one building was amazing.

Then our easter service on Sunday morning was the best ever. We essentially packed out the theater, and the excitment was contagious. The pastor preached a better sermon than I have ever heard him preach, and they incorporated some video footage they shot when they went to Israel.

You know the only thing I started the weekend off worried about was what to do with my children during the service, as there was no child care. BUT, I loved having them in the service with me. To be able to worship together as a family was really special. I think so often I forget that a church service is a perfect teaching opportunity. Showing the girls how to worship, and them seeing us, is teaching by example.

The other great thing about the weekend was watching my husband. He is so anointed when he is on that stage. I realized that God has such amazing plans for him, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him.

In summary, we are still on a Easter weekend high. A God high is so much better than and high the world has to offer ( very churchy statement I know, but its’s true.)

Playgroup September 12, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — kristialgreer @ 1:32 am

Every Tuesday at 10:00 am till 12:00 pm a group of mothers get together at the Eastern Shore Fountain for fun and fellowship.

Today we had so much fun.  The kids played in the water, and the ladies got to sit around chat.  I finally felt like a real woman today.  Having adult conversation, and still getting to enjoy my girls.

It was really good to see the children interacting as well.  Not only do we need friendships, but they do too.  This a great way for those relationships to develop.

I am so excited about the future of this group, and the potential for it to touch many mothers and children.
