So here I am still laying in bed after a long and crazy Easter weekend. This weekend was our churches Tenth year celebration, and we rented out a beautiful theater downtown Mobile, so that we could fit the people from all four of our weekend services in one building.
Our weekend began on Friday night with our Agape service. Agape, is a community wide worship event sponsored by our church. It was AWESOME ! The service felt larger than life, and the energy that came from having so many people worshiping in one building was amazing.
Then our easter service on Sunday morning was the best ever. We essentially packed out the theater, and the excitment was contagious. The pastor preached a better sermon than I have ever heard him preach, and they incorporated some video footage they shot when they went to Israel.
You know the only thing I started the weekend off worried about was what to do with my children during the service, as there was no child care. BUT, I loved having them in the service with me. To be able to worship together as a family was really special. I think so often I forget that a church service is a perfect teaching opportunity. Showing the girls how to worship, and them seeing us, is teaching by example.
The other great thing about the weekend was watching my husband. He is so anointed when he is on that stage. I realized that God has such amazing plans for him, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him.
In summary, we are still on a Easter weekend high. A God high is so much better than and high the world has to offer ( very churchy statement I know, but its’s true.)
